Lee County Library System's1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is a fun, exciting, and free program that encourages the love of reading. Children can earn fun rewards by listening to stories while caregivers learn important tips that can help their child become successful readers. Any child ages birth to five years that has not started kindergarten can participate. The program is available in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole.

This all ages summer reading program fosters a life-long love of reading and learning. Log reading, complete adventure missions and unlock digital games and badges. Earn 500 points to complete the reading program! 

Summer Reading Prize Drawing

Participation in this program automatically enters you to win the Branch Prize Basket for your age group, filled with new books and other goodies!

Free Books and Events

Visit a nearby library branch to attend special events for all ages and receive a free book for every child and teen, while supplies last.
